Lina De La Cruz Elected MAMF Chapter President
The Masters’ Association of Metal Finishing, which is the New York and New Jersey chapter of the National Association for Surface Finishing, also elected other officers and directors
Lina De La Cruz of Control Electropolishing in Brooklyn, New York, has been elected president of the Masters’ Association of Metal Finishing, the New York and New Jersey chapter of the National Association for Surface Finishing.
Other MAMF officers include Vice President Robert Chabot of Epic Industrial, Treasurer J.R. Candiloro of Epner Technology and NASF delegate Paul Brancato of Epner Technology. The directors are Tony Alcaro of Alcaro and Alcaro; Marc Aleksinas of Metal Chem; Jeff Lawrence of Elkem; Wasyl Bojczuk of New Brunswick Plating; Ed Miller and George Miller of Miller and Son Plating; and Joe Tilton and Joey Tilton of Tilton Rack and Basket. Associate directors are Jason Potts of Coventya and Jim Corbett of Liberty Insurance.
De La Cruz started in marketing and sales at Control Electropolishing and eventually became director of marketing. She currently is vice president of operations, a position in which she oversees operations of the company’s new corporate office, including purchasing, payroll and technological support. She overcame a learning disability and obtained her undergraduate degree in accounting and economics from Queens College, and a master’s degree in 2014.
