Hohman Plating, located in Dayton, Ohio, is planning to expand its facilities with a 26,500-square-foot build-out. Bruns Construction is responsible for the construction of the building. Established in 1918, Hohman Plating is a metal finishing and coating business serving industries such as aerospace, medical, defense, electronics and others. In addition to the expansion, the company is also planning to rehabilitate its existing facilities following the completion of the build-out.
Part of the company’s growth strategy and a larger improvement incentive, the $12.5 million project is expected to enable Hohman Plating to meet its goal of doubling its sales. Although there are currently no plans to expand employee personnel, the expansion will bring about the potential to expand Hohman’s workforce by about 20-30%, according to the Dayton Business Journal.
