This marks the 13th episode of On The Line, Products Finishing’s podcast for coaters and finishers. PF launched OTL in January of 2021. It’s hard to believe we’ve been producing the podcast for a full year now. This year-long season of our podcast has taken some twists and turns in terms of our programming. The topics we set out to cover changed throughout the year as trends and topics in the finishing industry evolved. PF found the voice of the podcast to be a great way to dig deeper into some of the stories we covered in our print magazine — to hear the voices of those out in the field doing the work.

In this episode of OTL, we look back at what seemed like some of the most pertinent stories we covered during the course of the year. Topics included supply chain disruption, workforce issues and regulatory battles — issues that seemed to be top of mind for those in the finishing industry.

Gardner Business Media VP of Finishing and Valve Media, Todd Luciano, joins Products Finishing Editor-in-Chief Scott Francis in hosting this special retrospective episode that includes interviews with Quint Towle of Powder Technology Inc., Douglas Hughes of MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions, Bryan Leiker and Justin Guzman representing the Metal Finishers Association of California, Mark Schario of Columbia Chemical and Anne Goyer of Chemical Coaters Assn. International (CCAI).

We hope you’ve enjoyed this year’s season of On The Line as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it. More to come in 2022!
