EPSI’s Hang-Tite Plug (HTP) serves as both a plug and hanging tab, allowing convenient coating of hanging threaded parts. The first thread or chamfer of the hole is sealed off, protecting it from applications including wet spray, ecoating, anodizing, plating and powder coating.
The liquid-tight seal protects during immersion processes, but it still allows the cold-rolled-steel insert to provide for conductivity to the part, making the plug especially favorable for powder coating, the company says. The rest of the HTP is high-temperature-grade silicone, enabling it to withstand repeated use.
