Wisconsin finishers Reliable Plating Works and Elite Finishing have made several management changes, naming Roberto Flores as their top salesperson and announcing that Scott Alberti has returned to take over the scheduling position. In addition, the company announced that Don Schmerling has retired.

Flores moves from his position as scheduler at RPW and Elite. Owner Jaime Maliszewski said that he was in this position to help him transition into sales when Schmerling decided to retire.

"Scheduling orders has helped Roberto get a good understanding of the way parts move through the plant and how he could assist customers as their salesman," Maliszewski said. "Roberto is very competitive which is a carryover from his playing days as a wide receiver for Lakeland College. He is very goal-oriented and will go all out to serve RPW and Elite customers.

D Alberti previously did sales for RPW back in the 1990s, and then ran his own company for many years and most recently worked in marketing. Maliszewski said Scott has a great background in the polishing and plating industry, and will fit right in as Scheduler for RPW and Elite.

"He knows what it takes to get parts moved through a plant and is very familiar with all aspects of the metal finishing industry," Maliszewski said.

Gilbert Maliszewski, who will remain the Northern Wisconsin and Minnesota sales representative for RPW and Elite. All three have moved into a new Customer Service office which Maliszewski said was designed to create the most efficient and reactive Customer Service unit we could assemble.

Schmerling has been in the plating industry for more than 35 years and has made many friends over the years. He spent the last 15 years working with Reliable Plating Works and Elite Finishing, running sales for both facilities as Sales Manager.

"Don was always in a good mood and tried to make everyone's day happier as this was his selling technique." Maliszewski said. "He figured if he could make your life better you would buy from him. Don would do everything in his power to make sure you received your parts when you wanted them and how you wanted them. His smile will be missed at RPW and Elite, but we all know he'll be enjoying retirement with his family."
